As demand grew, the team at 3 Springs sought a shrink wrap water bottles machine that could keep up with production without sacrificing product integrity or efficiency. That’s where Polypack stepped in.
The project centered around the TangoII-24L shrink wrap system, a fully automated solution equipped with a 90-degree infeed transfer—ideal for high-speed bundling and shrink wrapping of loose water bottles into secure, distribution-ready packs.

A System Designed for Smooth Flow and Smart Automation
The process begins with a side transfer infeed conveyor, which receives bottles in single file from upstream equipment. From there, the product is smoothly redirected through two 90-degree infeed conveyors, orienting the bottles in the opposite direction and transferring them to the flood feed conveyor. This flood feed ensures a steady stream of bottles moves toward the bundling section without interruptions.
Next, bottles enter the staging mechanism, where an oscillator and a precise clamp-and-gate system configure them into organized bundles. The bundles are transferred onto the flybar conveyor, where they are gently pushed across the film feed deadplate by the flybars. This mechanism ensures each group of bottles stays in place and aligned as it enters the film section.
Film is dispensed through the film cradle and film feed section, which includes a splice unit for fast film roll changes and print registration for precise placement. The wrap arm then applies the film around each bundle while the transfer conveyor moves them forward at a consistent pace.
Once wrapped, the bundles are carried through a shrink tunnel via the tunnel conveyor, where a carefully controlled combination of heat and airflow creates tightly sealed, tamper-evident packaging. Finally, products exit onto the discharge conveyor, where labels are applied before the bundles are transferred to downstream equipment.
